Allen Key
L-shaped hexagonal driving tools manufactured to ISO 2936 / DIN 911 for installing and tightening socket head cap screws. Available in metric sizes from 1.5mm to 36mm, with hardened steel construction providing sustained torque transfer without cam-out.
All dimensions in mm, tolerance +/- 0.01 mm. Additional dimensions available on request.
Note: The values provided are based on standard specification, the details are for information purpose only. To verify the dimension accuracy customers are requested to buy sample and verify before making bulk purchases. Always feel free to reach us for any help.
Allen keys solve the fundamental problem of applying controlled torque to recessed hexagonal socket fasteners in confined spaces where external wrench access is impossible. The L-shaped design provides two working modes: the long arm delivers maximum leverage for final tightening, while the short arm reaches fasteners in tight enclosures and deep recesses. Unlike Phillips or slotted drives, the hexagonal interface transfers torque without cam-out, preventing damage to both the tool and the fastener socket. Hardened High Tensile carbon steel maintains dimensional accuracy across thousands of cycles, ensuring the key continues to fit tightly in the socket. This precision prevents rounding of fastener sockets, a common cause of stripped screws that require costly extraction.
Surface Finish: Black oxide surface finish (aka blackening), which is a coating applied for mild corrosion resistance in dry environments. Black oxide treated metals/fasteners can rust in the right environments, so it should be stored properly to avoid rusting.
Maintenance: Products made of steel metal are very strong, but they are prone to rust formation. The rusting can be avoided by following preventive measures while storing the components. It can be avoided by keeping the component waxed or oiled and stored in proper boxes.
